In Memoriam - Robert Tom Riordan

Robert Tom Rordan
July 20, 1930 - April 19, 2013

On April 19 2012, Past Nassau County Commander, Past Post Commander, Post Adjutant and above all our friend, Robert Tom Riordan, passed away due to cancer.  He was 82 years old.  Robert Tom Riordan was one of the driving forces behind Merrick Post No. 1282, American Legion, activities and events.  If you had a project or idea you wanted to do with the Post, Tom Riordan was one of the guys you would seek to get your project or idea going.  He headed up many of the projects, events and activities at the Post, and he recruited a great deal of members for the Post.  He was a tireless promoter of the Merrick Post No. 1282, American Legion and sought to make this organization better.  Our condolences go out to his wife, Marge Riordan, his children and grand children. He will be missed.
